Thanks Ade, one flying suit on the way! This will take some time, no rush job, got to make up the pattern before cutting. Too much cash for a complete sheepskin liner, the price varies from about £15 to £30 per pelt depending on size and quality, I'd estimate I would need about a maximum of 5 or 6 pelts. So I'll be using synthetic fur for lining and a small pelt for the collar

Here's my prototype aviators overalls. The canvas worked well, but I'm still looking at improving this model; not yet tho' this project is an ordeal beyond words! I think it captures the spirit of the era and hoping to organise a photo of me in full gear this weekend to be posted later.

Well, here's the photo of the aviators outfit. Many thanks Jerome for helping out with the photos to enable me to make this up; and a special mention to the photographer at UKMS2000 for taking this photo. I'm working on other variations to keep the interest going!
