We will have them all made in one lot. Roger says he will be able to help with padding material and the stitching.

Cheers, Ade.

Hi Guys, the armour is now in production! Two sets of basic plates are made. These need to be painted before being assembled. I will get some paint made up in spary cans colour matched to my Ssch39 helmet.

Straps and padding them need to be done.

Cheers, Ade.

Yes, I think that would be best. We might get a little discount doing it that way.

I will be going up to Chesterfield in the next week or so to see the armour. I will take some pics of course.

Cheers, Ade.

Does anyone have their name on the 2nd set yet ade assuming you will be having one of these two?

How many people are actually having a set made up?

How many slings will we need per set do you think?

I really hope these come together in time for detling now will look great if we get a combat engineer section in the field not something that happens a lot.

Cheers Andy

Hi Comrades,
Ah, the body armour looks really cool. Most orignials are not much more than pieces of rust.

What is the weight of the whole thing? Shipping one to the Netherlands might be expensive.

Regards,
Guido

A section of combat engineers would look great at Detling.
I can picture the scene, armed to the teeth with papashas and one of them with an axe, smashing down a door on one of the buildings and then throwing in a satchel charge.

Or storming the Fash trench at Victory show after clearing the barbed wire and checking for mines.

This has got to be a first for the UK.

I'm sure one of our lads would be up for joining the engineer squad at Detling. Put the new armour to some use :)

Can't wait........should be a crackin event.

Comrades!

Our historic mission moves forwards, smashing the quota set by Moscow Centre. These newly declassified images have been released today!

I will be visiting the secret production facility next week.

Colour matching of paint is the next step. They will be spray painted, then padding and straps fitted.

Hi Guys, this afternoon I visited Roger to see the first two sets of body armour in person. They are GREAT!

I am going to sort out the straps this weekend.

I am now going to need some money up front from those who have placed orders.

Cheers, Ade.

Hi Andy, a minimum of £100 as a non refundable deposit. This is simply to help cover the cost of the steel.

I expect the total cost to be around £200. But this is still an estimate. As we have got to buy the straps, make the leather D ring straps, spray paint them etc.

Cheers, Ade.

Just an update on the body armour.

I have now got all the straps bought. I did a deal with Tony Budge and got the Nagant straps for £8 each, which represents a £2 discount per strap. Plus he did the postage for free too. Each set of armour will require 3 straps to complete.

I now have all the canvas material too. I am going to try and make a pattern for the throat/chest pad this weekend.

I am hoping to go up to Chesterfield again this week. Target date for all the metal bashing is get that done by the Bank Holiday.

Cheers, Ade.
