Fort Nelson is on Sunday 12th & Monday 13th April. We will have the use of the tunnel that we used for the Stalingrad scenario last year. Oil drums, posters and the large red flag will be provided for us but we can kit it out as we like.

Thats good news, the tunnel looked very good last year.

Will there be a battle for us to win ?

The 2nd Guards Tank Army will be supplying 2 crew members to bolster your numbers and assist in defending the Mother land !

Thanks comrade Grigoriev have read your message.

Comrade NRCtankman we will be staging a small scale battle against the GD unit, as we did last year.
We will have a maxin and a PPSh-41. (Wonder who will be using this baby?) The unit will also be taking part in the weapons display in the areana, as we usualy do.

Our livng history tunnel and 'living quarters' will be the main theme so no modern stuff on show while the members of public are shown around. You can sleep either in the the tunnel quarters or the old forge.

I expect to see you there comrade Chairwoman. At least keep an eye on the young fella so that we don't get served burnt offerings!!
Not that I expect our food to be of a less quality because it's good of Andy to take on this role!!!

I have been asked to provide a Soviet Naval scenario for the Fort Nelson event, this will be it:

I am really sorry to report that when this event happens.... just 5 miles down the road from our house, Emma and I will be in the lake district! This unfortunately also means that Jemimah the jeep will be unable to attend!

I am really gutted about this as it was to be her first reenactment event and soo very local!

Still Bovington is a deffo for her - 60 miles will be nothing and hopefully Detling should also be fine. Any other events within a 80 mile radius of Southampton will be gratfully received.

we've kept the permanent markings on her to a minimum and I've made a few Russian magnetic insignia for events - and they look pretty good!

Sorry again guys - we were looking forward to this!

We will have our living history display down the tunnel as we did last year. Members of the public will be escorted around our display.
There will be the usual 'fire display' and shortly after the battle display with the GD.

Hi Sarah, I would advise you to arrive late Saturday afternoon. The main problem is the Ft staff will generally not allow you to take a vehicle inside the Fort until after it closes at 5pm. They might allow you in earlier but you cannot rely on this happening.

Don't forget we don't cook on Sat night. So it is either a run to the chip shop or bring some food with you.

Cheers, Ade.

Just to remind you that this is a early 1943 scenario set in a naval base so if you have naval or naval marine uniforms then this is your opportunity to wear the kit. The Obr 35 uniform should be worn.

We will be down the tunnel again but will also have use of the forge building. The sleeping quarters/sleeping bags etc will be covered over during the day with blankets covering the modern stuff. The cooking will be positioned under the tunnel.

The 2nd Guards Will be taking part in the public battle against the GD, as last year, so bring your section 1 rifles and blank firers. Those of you wanting to hire weapons or take part in the weapons fire display then bring along the relevent form of ID.
The SUPPLEMENTS PAGE on our web site gives you all the details.
