i wread an article very short piece on the french normandie-niemen pilots
any 1 have any information on them

There is a very good book on the subject called:

'French Eagles Soviet Heroes: the French Normandie Niemen squadrons on the Eatern Front.'

I have only dipped into it so far- but it does look good.

Its a good book, found its a bit slow in places. Liked the bit were they'd fired the 30mm canon on landing just to stop....... :D

There is quite a good Regimental museum in the Falais area in Normandy. Bumped into it last summer. I have photos if anyone is interested.

Interestingly enough, the French Normandie-Niemen squadron has just disbanded, taking the last squadron of Mirage F-1s with it. The Russian one is, as far as I know, still going.
