Comrade Petitov they are a wonderful collection of photographs.
I could almost smell the undergrowth and feel the warm sunshine ! I bet it is hot sometimes.
I spent some time (as a child in the 60s) near Campello ,north of Alicante, and spent happy hours scrambling and walking around the foothills searching for lizards (or hunting for Pulpo or Pulpito in the sea!).

They are some of the happiest times of my life .

Last year,at Kellmarsh and Detling too, we all had "Pilotka Sun-tan" where our head where white on one corner (where the pilotka sat) but the rest of us was pink like a lobster!

You have a good selection of weapons and uniforms and like us :lots of different shaped soldiers!!

I like the dog walking with the soldier in the picture; does that accompany you as well?
It adds to the atmosphere I think.

It is good to see so much enthusiasm.

Exactly, Con, the dog, accompanies us in the trainings. I am the soldier who walks to his side, and the official who takes it is Eloyevsky, his owner.

The truth is that it gives very much environment, but he scares the detonations of the weapon.

The majority of our group of Ispaniets we are from Catalonia. Especially of Barcelona, but also there is someone in Madrid, Valencia and Castellon

I think Con the dog must enjoy being with you; I hope he gets used to the guns.
From what I have seen ,dogs and other pets have often been adopted by troops (or have themselves chosen to adopt the soldiers).

Our unit is spread out all over the United Kingdom ,as you know from the forum and we travel quiet a long way to be together; but it is always worth the effort.

Really Bobhr, the effort it's very rewarded.

We hope that our effort for attending Detling provides us a great weekend together with our comrades.
We send a relaccion of the persons of the group Ispaniets that estan interested in travelling to Detling and sharing the camp with all the comrades of the Red Army. In the moment that we have some confirmation of which we can take part in the spectacle, we will prepare the trip. Like the transfer of Siberian divisions at the Moscow front in 1941!!!!!!.

Comrade Bonhr could you send me pictures of our Spanish comrades as I had problems viewing them?

I can confirm that Gary Howard will be taking over on the weapon hire front from John Oxlade as he believes that he can save money that way, we shall see!

Hola Tovarich Petitov,
I like the colour slideshow in this link very much:

http://ispaniets.foroes.net/10501088107 ... ts-t69.htm

I looked at it yesterday and I noticed that it is the same group as Sergei Ginsburg posted some time ago.

Do you use the jeep often and what is the antitank weapon? :?:

The jeep belongs to a friend reenactor. We it have used 2 times. In Baldellou's exit, a very important show with more of 100 reenactors and several vehicles, also we will use it.
The antitank weapon is a panzersrek of a group of reenactors that dress uniforms of the Heer.

Here there is some scenes of Baldellou's combats of last year and a video of promotion:

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=WPbjhm4QjYg

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=SSnuRdZB0 ... re=related

The innovation of this year, precisely we are the Ispaniets and also combats were realized simulating the Ostfront :D

Thanks Comrade Petitov, I didn`t realise reenactment was so popular in Spain.

The Heer certainly have a lot of fire-power ! I love the "vierling " FLAK.

I have tried to post a hello on your forum but will have to get down to some serious learning of Spanish!

I think I have succeeded in a PM to you and then a post on the main forum.

Forgot to post, but I was talking to Gary Howard a couple of weeks ago. As most of you are aware he's supplying the weapons for the public battle. He does have some DP's for hire which should be great.

Comrades! if we are to deploy the superior Soviet DP weapon sytem at Detling we need to work on our squad skirmish drill between now & our the Military Oddessey.

I suggest that we allocate time at each event to ensure that each section is familiar with the basics of skirmish order deployment.

How well do DP's run with blank?

I thought I remembered someone saying they were a right pain...

Hi
how do I go about getting a carpass for Detling? Do I contact the organisers or is it through the 2nd Guards?

Thanks

Hugh

Finally 3 Ispaniets we will come to Detling to put under the orders of 2nd Guards division Oficers and NCO's. Later on we will make concrete the trips questions. We will sleep, with your permission, in the display.

If we have any change, we call you immediately. Today I will send the names, surnames and the numbers of document of identity to the organizers of the Military Odissey.

:D
