Due to non-cooperation by the authorities at the North Yorks Moors Railway, along with the date of the 2nd Guards Shooting competition, the 2nd Guards event at NYMR Grosmont this year has been cancelled.
However, the same weekend in 2008 will see a groundbreaking cooperative scenario with Axis reenacters, and I would urge (and beg) all 2nd Guards to keep this weekend open. More details as they occur, but it will be a chance to try something genuinely new and a 15 - 20 person turnout is sought.

That's a shame Rob.After East of England we've got a likeing for digging in and NYMR would have been a good opportunity.

I can still make it, Sam. I just have a very low level of confidence this year that we'll get the back-up we need from the management.
2008 will be a very different proposition, though.
