Hi All,

I'm very new to the Russian WWII scene, I play airsoft (usually british or US) We have a Eastern front game at the end of January which we have ordered loads of stuff from Front of Russia for. The game is on the 24th Jan, and still no sign of any of the gear, money was trasferred over at the end of November, and he's not replying to any emails.

...not a very satisfactory state of affairs. I'm reluctant to wear a greatcoat, so I'm after an M43 Gimnasterka, the other bits I should be able to do lookalike if the stuff doesnt arrive in time. I'm 44 inch chest, after a reproduction or whichever. I can get one off ebay, but it's coming from the Ukraine and theres no guarantee I will get that in time either.

Thanks for looking.

Matt

Hi am going to the event (first airsoft) I'll bring down a spare 43 for you to borrow. I'll bring down some other kit to lend out if your order has not arrived.

Thats very very kind of you thanks!

The only other bits I had on the order was the backpack, gas mask bag and mess set, but thats not as important!

We've just heard from Alex atr FoR saying he will be posting the stuff this week, 8 weeks late and no hope of getting if for the game lol!

No problem. Stuff from Alex usually takes a week and a half once posted so you may get it in time. Keep me posted and I'll try to sort out anything your missing.

Sounds good - I enjoy a bit of airsoft but never had chance to do an eastern front one, where is it?

A telog (padded short coat) is better to wear than a greatcoat.

Sorry Pavel missed your post. It was up in Kidiminster, so quiet a way for you to go. A great site, and well organised if anyone is up for some airsoft stuff it is certainly fun and the soviets made a real effort and would have looked even better if front of russia had not let them down. This video does not even get close to how good it was. They are bringing out airsoft ppsh's if anyone wants to attend one in the future

Why don't we go airsoft for private events it would cut out the outrageous hire fees and daft conditions that the dealers set to hire their over-priced malfunctioning wares.....

Had a chat with one of the guys, basically its a book in advance as an individual and turn up, so anyone could attend. Site fee is higher, but this is offset easily by ammo/hire cost

I think it's something we should at least consider for the private events, my hearings too knackered to stand much more blank firing these days, we can make the events as realistic as any blank firing one, with the added bonus of knowing when you've been hit.

I like the sound of that (boom boom) Although there are not many GPW russian weapons available as yet, Im keen to see the Ppsh! Could you post a link please Martin?

I believe the Japs make an M1944 mosin but its silly money. Several german weapons available though.

Cheers
Regski

We end up using german rifles at events that John hires at so no difference there.
