Interesting to see from that table that 63rd Guards, our Swedish counterparts, started off as a Marine brigade. A genuine 'I never knew that' moment.

Yes, and they sustained heavy casualties when defending Hangö (Hanko) against the finns.

My persona, Danilov is from a family with a tradition of sailors, his father, his brothers and himself all were sailors before the war and so when war broke out he found himself in the 8th Marin Infantry.
He still wears his Marin Infantry undershirt with pride under his Gymnastierka!

and was led by Shimoniak wich later became the leader of 30GRC :)
