White cross across the top of the cab, I think. Certainly did that with tanks.

Sorry I've been off-line for awhile, explanation elsewhere. Well I've thought about the truck acqusition looked into it and have decided that it isn't feasible & much as I would like to own & play with one, I'm not the man for the job. Sorry to get ya hopes up, next time I come up with something like that, I'll do the research 1st and then say something if it's worth announcing. Sorry to disappoint you all. I guess I'll just go away and shut-up now

Nice to seeya back online Ron. Shame about the truck, but the most important thing you can bring to events is you and the rest of your familly. Are you going to be able to get to Nelson?

Hi Ron , it s a pity that you didnt` get a truck but that doesn`t mean to say it was a bad thing to dream of one , or to share those dreams with the rest of us .
It sounds corny but i am sure everyone would agree that dreams and hopes (especially shared dreams and hopes) are what keeps us all going?
Dream and aspire as much as you like and I for one will be right beside you.

I am starting my Vehicle Plan this year now that I have STAVKA authorisation. I shall be putting £250 PCM into a fund, & explore the possibilities as it grows. After 18 months I should be able to afford a truck (the account will probably start at the end of the financial year). My preferred mode of transport will be a Dodge WC, as it is a good all-rounder, I could go for a duece and a half, but the runnning costs would be horrible. Suggestions are welcome though.

I know that recently there was a 1 1/2 ton GMC truck for sale on Milweb, restored and running for £2200.Which seemed like a bargain to me.
The buying though is only the start. You need some mechanical aptitude at least to do the basic maintainance or need to know someone you can call on for help.
The good thing about Dodges and Jimmys is that there are tons of spares around and dealers all over the place to get them from.
