2nd Guards Rifle Division
Here are further detail as to the requirements from the film company:
For our Kursk requirements, we are going to be looking for a standard infantry man (who will probably end up in the studio in a Molotov cocktail
throwing pose) and a sapper (so if you don't have that in particular, an infantryman with a shovel and a bayonet will do).
For Stalingrad, we a re looking for an infantryman in winter gear as well as a sniper in camouflage with the rifle.
As for the series, it is a 6 part series for National Geographic focusing on
the great battles of the Second World War. Each episode will be a mix of
archive footage, graphs and moving maps, recreations, historians being
interviewed and a segment where we test out weapons, tanks, or rations on an empty field. For example, for Stalingrad we will take dress up two men, one in German winter gear and one in soviet winter gear and stick them in the back of a refrigerated van for 30 minutes. When they come out, after considerable cursing, we will see who is able to put a rifle back together fastest. This is intended to demonstrate the points we make about the discrepancies in clothing. We might need you for this segment as well, but for the moment it is not something to worry about.
We will try and get the dates to you as soon as possible, but remuneration
to the tune of what we discussed should not be a problem.

After Stalingrad the Red Army knew the Germans could be beaten but after Kursk, they knew they would win!
