Have got the sniper game props made so just require a couple of "snipers" who want to test their field craft skills against the keen eyes of the fash.i.e. joe public.

Will bring our maxim as well and Andy will run through the stripping down etc. so no one hurts themselves in the heat of the moment on the obstacle course.

Got our car pass today too, cheers Ade.

You will certainly be missed Colin; you taught me how to strip a Nagant for the first time at Belvoir last year.

It was my first unit event.

He also showed me how to strip a naga, I must say the the conscripts of belvoir '07 ( Bob, James Zeiba, Semyon, Tank and I) were the real cool cats!

2nd Guards Rifle Division

Those of you who have informed Ade that you will attending this event will receive event passes, those of you didn't.....won't!

Remember get your HAIR CUTS SHORT.

I'm getting fed up with people turning up with modern haircuts, it must be cut short! I have hair clippers wth me so get your hair cut short no side burns.......

However if you can show me a war time picture of Red Army troops with long hair, sideburns, ponytails and earrings the please do and you can wear it otherwise get it cut short.

Just adding my two pennysworth.

Enjoyed the show, despite having to work and being kept busy all weekend.

I shall have to grease the maxim bolts ready for next time now that I've let the new bods get a taste of victory,if not a taste of winners vodka.

Also it was the first show I've had a plasch tent to myself,Ahh the space to spread out ,,luxury.

I would like to congratulate the "new bods" on a supreme effort.
Like true Soviet Comrades they rose to the challenge and threw themselves at it with gusto !
Golly, like a Jack-Russell and John like a whippet ,they flew along ;and on sunday Jo added a touch of class !
I filled the roll of clown on saturday by failing to see the oil and water from the traction engines then going rrrs over t-t ! later I erroneously blamed my boots for the skidding! I have polished them gently to make up for it !
I also realised that had I fitted a bayonet to the rifle then the muzzle could not have hit the ground and been blocked with dirt (a little training snippet there ).
I found it difficult to look Walter in the eye on saturday and felt more worserer after sundays event !!
But hey ! healthy competition ! Its good for you.I was secretly chuffed to rocks !!
I just wish we had had a name ! (and the vodka) !!
I certainly learned a heck of a lot (and am very confident now) with the Maxim. So it was well worth the effort.
