just saw it yesterday. Ambles along nicely. Not gritty or hard enough, Large set pieces unbelievable and unjustified. Dress of some of the leading actors very poor in terms of kit. It's bad when the extras look better. Daniel Craig had a zipped American jacket zipped jacket ,the Soviet commander had modern furry hat with stay bright star, and the 2ic's dodgy greatcoat collar tabs made me wince
Best bits Ambush of the cyclist and staff car. Nicely chaotic. The shooting of the police commander and his sons, had the potential to take the film off into a darker and grittier direction, but failed to deliver and unfortunatley the raid on the police station could have and should have lasted three times as longer
If you want to see a partisan film Come and See is stll leagues ahead.
