Comrades, because I'm cheap, I've been doing some research into the least possible kit needed to do a late-war Naval Infantry impression, and have come up with the following:
A telnyashka (stripey jumper).
Some photos show Naval Infantry who have been doing the job for so long that this is the only visible naval kit they still have. However, more likely would be:
Telnyashka
Bezkazirka (sailor hat)
Naval belt with buckle
Naval pagoni with fleet ID letters
Or any combination of the above, worn with RKKA gear. The Gym is traditionally worn open, so the telnyashka can be seen.
So, any takers at doing a Naval Rifles impression?

I`d love to Rob; once I have sorted out my initial kit list.

A great idea though
Bob.

Sure, I've got two telnyashkas anyway and it'll save me having to buy the RKKA undershirt.

A further advantage is that you are far more likely to have an SVT-40 or PPSh-41 than your landlubber equivalent, and less likely (in fact, not likely at all) to have a Diakonov rifle grenade launcher, which I convinced was designed by Germans.

Yes, I think the Red Fleet was fed a special diet to ensure they could fit into their trousers.
Seriously, WW2 US ones are fairly close and made for people with a more generous arse.

Well isnt this just typical, an entire website devoted to the finer points of WW2 Russian history & militaria, and the sailors are just talking about each others arses.

I'm trying to put a list of sources together, but getting stuff for big guys is a bit of a non-starter, which is why I've suggested the stripped down bare minimum.
